Maruja Limon, right next to Cafe Carioca, is another bar which is almost a legend. However, it is more of a local secret, a bar that you will usually go to if you are were raised in Valencian culture, and it is a bar that a lot of comopolitan, less traditional Valencia would not pay any attention to (if not scoff at), a very specific typically local vibe. The name speaks for itself ("maruja" is roughly a stereotypical hectic Spanish housewife) although it is used here in a humorous context. Maruja Limon is packed with traditionally mixed age and casual smart 100% locals, buzzing away the weekend to a fairly heavy but totally commercial house music which is played more in a matter of fashion then melomania. Very lively, very full-on and a nice ambiental decor to the bar.
