22nd March 2008 - Holy Saturday

Be sure you read our important note on locations and times of the processions >>>>>

The Holy Saturday is quiet, probably the least eventful day of the Semana Santa Marinera in Valencia. It makes sense - there is nothing to celebrate or commemorate between the death and resurrection of Christ. On Saturday Jesus simply stayed lifeless in His tomb until the resurrection next day.

Between the huge spectacles of Friday and Sunday, there really isn't much on Saturday. But if this is the only day you can see Semana Santa Marinera, below are a few very minor processions that will take place.

However, if you stay up late enough, you can catch the early bird - the Brotherhood of Death and Resurrection of Christ will be the only one to announce resurrection at midnight Saturday, even with some fireworks, in the Procession de Gloria (see below)
