While Jimmy Glass is a smal, cosy and homely jazz basement, Jass Cafe goes much further upmarket with its stunning jazz-themed interior worthy of any capital city. High ceiling, a broad central staircase leading from a spacios lower floor to the balcony, comfortable seating and plenty of space, fitting a much larger crowd than Jimmy Glass. The people who come here tend to be a more mature, affluent type. The programme is also different. While Jimmy Glass tends to go totally for classic jazz, Jazz Cafe is by far not purist - there is a lot of latino, ambient, nu and urban jazz, plus blues, flamenco, reggae and others. When there is no live music, Jazz Cafe tends to entertain with a more weekender lounge mix with jazz infuences.
