One of the large rindie venues in the area, Velvet Underground is a psychedelic maze of retro shapes and twilight colours. There is the whole set: you could socialise at the long bar, get cosy on one of the many sofa-corners, or use up the dance floor that goes wild to rock, pop-rock and indie. Vibrant, young crowd - mainly students. This is probably the largest rock bar in the area and it does get full, so if you really want to dance and to party - this palce has the buzz. They also occasionally stage a live rock act.
