El Loco (also known as "Loco Mateo") is one of the most dynamic events venues in Valencia, from the never resting makers of Radio City. Packed with concerts (of all kinds: rock, flamenco, ethnic, reggae, all kinds of avante-guarde), comedy shows, theatre, various music festivals, this club attracts a more discerning, culturally mature and bohemian public of the Carmen type. When there is no event, the Loco club is taken by a good bunch of DJs spinning all kinds of funky stuff, most of it unorthodox and all of it dance-inducing. Do make sure you check the Loco website before going in any case - even if you just want to dance you may turn up to an event and having to pay an entry fee. The only problem with El Loco is that it is a bit too far from Carmen - where most of its likely fans would hang around, so it is often filled below capacity.
