There is a good chance that if you ask around the tourist infrastructure in the centre for a good paella place, you will be sent to El Rall. This restaurant is somewhat of a paella legend, although more for the tourists than for the locals (it is somewhere between being touristy and off the beaten track). El Rall has one of the widest ranges of local paellas and rices and you can try all of the famous ones here. The interior is of a simple stonework but most remember if for its summer terrace. The restaurant is small - consider bookings. Supposedly, El Rall has sufficient quality to not be eager to please, however. For example, to your question about a menu in English you will be told that you are in Spain. There are reasons to suggest (following some mixed reports) that this restaurant is taking itself a bit too seriously. Just something you should be aware of without denying the fact that it is one of the most famous and popular rice restaurants in the centre.
