Vinatea is the restaurant to go when you want to combine some traditional Valencia dishes with being treated like nobility, hotel-style (since it is the Astoria Palace Hotel restaurant). There is a good range (although not the biggest in Valencia) of the typical local dishes, prepared to a sufficiently high level, and the waiters will perform the whole you-are-god dance around you. That said, the place does miraculously keep the element of genuine human friendliness and banter, which gives it much credit. The classic brightly-lit interior is not really romantic, nor fun, so it's not one of the attractions.
